Meet Zenith

Meet today's Stigma Warrior, Zenith.
My name is Darius aka Zenith, and I’m an artist, dancer, and community leader. I’ve been deeply involved in the ballroom scene since 2018, competing in various categories and mentoring others in the kiki community. I founded my non-profit, Haus of Us, to create safe and empowering spaces for LGBTQ+ youth to express themselves. I believe in the power of storytelling, movement, and shared experiences to break down barriers and uplift those around me.
Stigma and discrimination create invisible walls that prevent people from living authentically. If we don’t challenge these barriers, they continue to isolate, harm, and silence us. Standing up to stigma means creating space for truth, healing, and representation. As someone who leads with my heart, I believe in fighting for inclusion so that everyone—especially marginalized communities—feels seen, valued, and empowered.
I fight stigma by existing unapologetically. Through my dancing, teaching, and community work, I embrace my authenticity and encourage others to do the same. I also create spaces where people can feel safe expressing their truth, whether through the ballroom scene, my non-profit, or artistic collaborations. Education, visibility, and open conversations are my tools in this fight.
My advice to anyone facing stigma and discrimination within their community is to know that your existence is powerful, and your truth is valid. Surround yourself with people who celebrate you, and never dim your light to make others comfortable. Healing isn’t linear, but every step you take toward embracing yourself is an act of defiance against discrimination. You are worthy of love, success, and joy—never let stigma make you believe otherwise.
What is one word that best describes me as a Stigma Warrior would be Zenith which means limitless.
